About Add Watermark

This online tool burns logo, text, or copyright watermarks into your videos directly in your browser using FFmpeg.wasm. Customize position, opacity, and size, choose an encode quality (CRF), and optionally tile the watermark across the whole frame to defeat cropping. The output is H.264 with yuv420p pixel format and faststart so it streams on the web and plays on Safari, iOS, and hardware players. Perfect for content creators, agencies, and screener/review deliverables. All processing happens locally for complete privacy.

What types of watermarks can I add?

You can add image/logo watermarks (PNG, JPG) or text watermarks with custom content. Logos support transparency (PNG recommended).

Can I customize watermark appearance?

Yes! You can adjust position (9 preset positions), opacity (0-100%), size (percentage of video), and margin from edges.

How does the Quality (CRF) setting affect output?

The video is re-encoded with libx264 (or VP9 for WebM) using the CRF you pick. Lower CRF means higher quality and larger files: CRF 18 is visually lossless, 20 is high, 23 is a balanced default, and 28 produces a small file for fast delivery. Choose based on your delivery target.

Can I tile the watermark to stop someone cropping it out?

Yes. Enable 'Tile / repeat watermark across frame' and the logo or text is repeated edge-to-edge over the whole video. This is the standard anti-crop technique for screeners and review copies, since cropping any region still leaves visible marks.

Is the audio preserved?

Audio is kept but safely re-encoded to match the container: AAC 192 kbps for MP4/MOV and Opus for WebM. This avoids the codec mismatch errors that happen when copying AAC into WebM, so every output format works.

Why does the output play everywhere, including iPhone and Safari?

Every export forces the yuv420p pixel format and, for MP4/MOV, adds faststart (moov atom at the front). That makes the file decodable by Safari, iOS, and hardware players and lets it stream progressively on the web without a full download.

What file formats are supported?

Video: MP4, WebM, MOV. Logo: PNG (with transparency), JPG, WebP. Output: MP4 or WebM.

Can I preview before downloading?

Yes! After adding the watermark, you can preview the video to verify position and appearance before downloading.

Is my video file safe?

Absolutely! All watermarking happens directly in your browser using FFmpeg.wasm (WebAssembly). Your files are never uploaded to any server. Everything stays private on your device.

How long does processing take?

Processing time depends on video length. Adding a watermark requires re-encoding, typically taking 30-90 seconds for a 5-minute video.

Can I remove the watermark later?

No, watermarks are permanently embedded in the video pixels. Make sure you're satisfied with the preview before downloading. Keep your original unwatermarked video as backup.
