About Blur Video Area Timeline

Advanced online tool to blur specific areas in videos with timeline support and motion tracking. Add multiple blur regions with custom time ranges, create keyframes for moving objects, and protect privacy. Perfect for censoring faces, hiding license plates, or redacting sensitive information that moves throughout your video.

What makes this tool different?

This tool supports multiple blur regions with timeline control. Each blur region can have its own start/end time, and you can add keyframes to track moving objects. This means you can blur a face that moves across the screen, or blur multiple areas at different times in the same video.

How do I add multiple blur regions?

Click the 'Add Region' button to create a new blur region. Each region can be configured independently with its own position, size, and time range. You can add as many regions as needed for your video.

What are time ranges?

Each blur region has a start time and end time (in seconds). The blur will only be applied during this time range. For example, if you want to blur someone's face from 2.5 to 8.3 seconds, set start time to 2.5 and end time to 8.3.

How does motion tracking work?

Motion tracking uses keyframes. Seek to different points in your video and add keyframes with the blur position at each time. The tool will automatically interpolate (smoothly move) the blur area between keyframes, following your moving object.

How do I add keyframes?

1) Select a blur region to edit. 2) Play your video and pause at the time you want to add a keyframe. 3) Draw or adjust the blur area position/size for that moment. 4) Click 'Add Keyframe'. Repeat for other times when position changes.

Can I see all blur regions while editing?

Yes! As you play or seek through the video, the canvas overlay shows all active blur regions for the current time. Active regions appear in red, while the region you're editing is highlighted.

What happens if blur regions overlap?

Multiple blur regions can overlap. Each region is processed independently and layered onto the video. Overlapping areas will have the blur applied multiple times.

How long does processing take with multiple regions?

Processing time depends on video length, resolution, number of regions, and keyframes. A 30-second 1080p video with 2-3 blur regions typically takes 2-4 minutes. More regions and keyframes increase processing time.

Can I edit a region after creating it?

Yes! Click the edit button on any region in the list. You can modify its position, size, time range, and keyframes at any time before processing the video.

Is my video safe and private?

Absolutely! All video processing happens directly in your browser using FFmpeg.wasm (WebAssembly). Your video is never uploaded to any server. Everything stays private on your device.
