This tool adds watermarks to PDF files. You can add text watermarks or image watermarks (logos). Customize the position, opacity, rotation, and other properties. All processing happens in your browser for complete privacy.

What types of watermarks can I add?

You can add text watermarks (like CONFIDENTIAL, DRAFT, etc.) or image watermarks (logos, stamps). Text watermarks support customization of font size, color, opacity, and rotation.

Can I control watermark position?

Yes! Use the 9-position grid to place the watermark at any of the nine anchor points: the three top cells (left, center, right), the three middle cells (left, center, right) and the three bottom cells (left, center, right). Or enable Tile Mode to repeat it across the whole page.

How do I make a tiled, diagonal security watermark?

Turn on Tile Mode to repeat your text or logo in a grid across every page, set the Rotation to 45° for a diagonal pattern, and use the Tile Spacing slider to control density. This is ideal for CONFIDENTIAL or DRAFT security stamps that cover the full page and are hard to crop out.

Can I watermark only selected pages?

Yes. Use the Apply to Pages field to target specific pages instead of the whole document. Enter a single page (e.g. 1), a range (2-5), a comma list (1,3,7), or combinations (1,3,5-8). Leave it as 'all' to stamp every page. This lets you skip a cover or signature page and watermark only the body or an appendix.

What is opacity?

Opacity controls how transparent the watermark is. 100% is fully opaque, 50% is semi-transparent, and lower values make it more subtle.

Can I rotate the watermark?

Yes! You can rotate text watermarks to any angle (0-360 degrees). Common angles are 0° (horizontal), 45° (diagonal), or 90° (vertical).

What image formats are supported for watermarks?

You can use PNG and JPG/JPEG images as watermarks. PNG with a transparent background works best for logos and stamps. (GIF is not supported.)

Does it watermark all pages or can I choose?

Both. By default it batch-applies the watermark to every page, but the Apply to Pages field lets you limit it to chosen pages or ranges (like 2-5 or 1,3,7), so you can leave cover and signature pages untouched.

Is the watermark removable, and is there a file size limit?

The watermark is drawn directly onto each page's content stream rather than as a separate removable layer, so it behaves like a flattened stamp for normal viewers. It can still be edited in a full PDF editor, so it is a visual deterrent, not DRM. The maximum input file size is 50MB.

Is my PDF file safe?

Absolutely! All watermark processing happens directly in your browser. Your PDF file is never uploaded to any server. Everything stays private on your device.

Yes! You can preview the PDF with watermark before downloading to ensure it looks exactly how you want.
