What metadata can I view?
You can view document properties including Title, Author, Subject, Keywords, Creator, Producer, Creation Date, Modification Date, PDF Version, Page Count, and Page Size.
What is the file size limit?
The maximum file size is 50MB. This ensures smooth performance in your browser.
What if metadata is not available?
Some PDF files may not have all metadata fields filled. Empty or missing fields will show as Not specified or Unknown.
Can I copy the metadata?
Yes! You can copy all metadata to your clipboard with one click using the Copy All Metadata button.
What is the difference between Creator and Producer?
Creator is the application that created the original document. Producer is the software that converted it to PDF format.
Is my PDF file safe?
Absolutely! All metadata reading happens directly in your browser. Your PDF file is never uploaded to any server. Everything stays private on your device.
Can I view metadata from password-protected PDFs?
Currently, this tool does not support password-protected or encrypted PDF files. Please remove the password protection first.
What is PDF Version?
PDF Version indicates which PDF specification the file follows (e.g., 1.4, 1.5, 1.7). Newer versions support more features but may not be compatible with older PDF readers.
