- Select specific month or 'All Months' for yearly calendar

Can I add holidays and events?

Yes. The generator handles both fixed-date holidays and your own dated events.

Built-in Holidays (toggle with 'Show Holidays'):
- New Year's Day (Jan 1)
- Valentine's Day (Feb 14)
- Independence Day (Jul 4)
- Christmas (Dec 25)
- New Year's Eve (Dec 31)
These are fixed-date holidays only — moving holidays such as Thanksgiving or Easter are not auto-marked, so add those yourself as dated events.

Dated Events (mark a specific day):
- Use the 'Dated Events' box, one item per line
- Format: 'D: text' (e.g. '15: Team review') or 'MM-DD: text' (e.g. '03-08: Client meeting')
- The text is printed directly inside that day's cell (grid) or day row (planner), not just at the bottom

Notes:
- The Notes box is for general remarks that appear in a block below the calendar

Tips:
- Keep each event short so it fits the cell
- Use MM-DD when you want to be explicit about the month
- Holidays and your events both survive PDF export and printing

How do I mark deadlines on specific dates?

Use the 'Dated Events' field — this is what turns a blank calendar into a working planner.

Format (one event per line):
- 'D: text' — day number of the selected month, e.g. '5: Sprint kickoff'
- 'MM-DD: text' — explicit month and day, e.g. '11-30: Invoice due' (only lines matching the displayed month are shown)

Examples:
1: Payroll run
15: Team review
22: Project deadline
03-08: Client meeting

Where it appears:
- Grid (single month): the text is printed inside the matching day cell
- 12-month grid: a small marker dot appears on the day (hover shows the text)
- Lined Planner: the event is printed on that day's row, above the blank writing lines

This makes the calendar usable for project deadlines, meeting schedules, shift planning, content calendars and academic due dates.

Does it support ISO 8601 week numbers and Monday start?

Yes. Week numbering follows ISO 8601 (weeks start Monday, week 1 contains the year's first Thursday).

Week numbers:
- Enable 'Show Week Numbers' to add a 'Wk' column to the grid
- Numbers are computed per row from the Monday of that week, so the first and last rows are correct even when days spill into the previous or next month

Week start:
- Monday (ISO 8601 / European, default)
- Sunday (US)
- Saturday (Middle East)

Note: the week-start setting changes how the grid is laid out, while the displayed week number always uses the ISO (Monday-based) definition, so fiscal and project planning stays consistent.
